Blue Pumpkin has 9 shops nationwide including in Phnom Penh. The cafe near Old Market in Siem Reap was opened in 2000 by a French/Thai couple. At that time it was impressive due its A/C and comfy sofas when it was hard to find such a place. The owner named it “Blue pumpkin” as it sounds curious and to be remembered, but now, it has become a name synonymous with “café” in Cambodia.
